The elusive smile

This is more of a grin than a smile. Her true smile is way cuter, but I've not be able to catch it on camera, so for the meantime, please enjoy these other adorable expressions.

As of today, Leilani is 12.3 pounds and 23 inches. She's growing in all directions, fast.

Leilani turns 2 months old

Leilani's personality is really starting to show. She's been smiling a lot in the past 2 weeks, so it's only a matter of time before I catch it on camera.

I'm back!

Happy to be back folks. Good to see you all again. What's it been? A day? How are you guys?

She's a... Heartbreaker!

Annette had Leilani for the better part of today and when that happens you can expect photos like this to show up in my email. I can tell she loves the new outfit and bow, thanks sis!

Gut check

I don't know what's natural when it comes to baby burps, but Leilani is not it. They're more like belches. To be even more accurate, they're like Shrek's belches.

Tubby Time

And by tubby, I don't mean the bath tub. Look at how perfectly round her head is.

Hangin' with Auntie Annette

I mean that literally. Leilani loves this carrier. It's her new favorite activity and since she doesn't cry in it, it's ours too.

All grownz up

We've said our final goodbyes to newborn-size clothes this week. Leilani is all grownz up!

Super-sized baby

It's okay to feed babies chocolate shakes right? And french fries? This looks like a weight gain ad. "On the Leilani 7-week plan, I nearly doubled my own weight and I look great!

Not so fast

Leilani's famous move, the ol' pretend I'm sleeping until they try to sit down and relax then I wake up and stay awake for hours trick. Shame on us, because it works every time.

Footprints & More

Leilani's prints get immortalized. We had a heart plaque made in addition to these ornaments which I'll post a pic of once it's ready.

My new friend Murray

The cats have been a bit weary of Leilani, especially Murray, but it looks as if he's finally warming up to her. That is until Leilani cries, then he can't get out of the room fast enough.

Blog broken / Blog fixed

Blog issues are fixed and Leilani is happy again.

I heart Grandpa

Unfortunately Leilani was not able to meet her grandpa Salvador, but he would have absolutely adored her just as much as her other grandpa does, I'm certain of that.

Playtime

Finally opened up Leilani's playtime gym. I couldn't tell if she was enjoying the gym because she was all about the camera once the photo shoot started. What a ham, literally. I mean, look at those cheeks!

Slacking off on the blog

I made my return to work this week, so I have had less time to devote to the blog unfortunately.  I do promise to keep up with it though. I'll just have to take plenty of pictures on the weekends and spread them throughout the weeks that I am away.

This week I'm working from home, but soon I'll be traveling again and missing Jen and Leilani every day I'm gone. I just have to remember I'm doing it all for them. In any case, thank you all for visiting so often and I will do my best to keep the blog fresh despite that whole job-thing.
